NHS Tayside

Project overview

We recently completed a major infrastructure upgrade for NHS Tayside, delivering works across three separate operational healthcare sites.

The project centred around the installation of new mains MCCB panels, supporting external air source heat pumps, and integrating renewable technologies including solar PV with existing mechanical systems. All works were carefully phased and coordinated to ensure each building remained fully operational throughout.

Working within live healthcare environments required meticulous planning, clear communication and strict adherence to safety protocols. Through close collaboration with Vital Energi Utilities Limited, the project was delivered successfully and to programme.

Scope of Works

Undertaking essential electrical and mechanical upgrades within operational NHS facilities presented a number of logistical and technical challenges. Maintaining uninterrupted power supply, minimising disruption to clinical services, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations were critical elements of the project.

Thanks to the dedication and coordination of all teams involved, each challenge was met head-on. The result is a future-ready electrical infrastructure that supports renewable energy integration and long-term efficiency across all three sites.
